 Biography
Ulrike grew up in the Black Forest, Germany; received a Bachelor's in Romance Languages and Sport Sciences from University of Heidelberg, Germany; received a BS in Physical Therapy in Germany; emigrated to the USA in 1990; received MS in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in FL in 2000; had worked as a physical therapist for 20 years (receiving certifications in McKenzie and manual therapy) before joining BYU as a student; earned PhD in Exercise Sciences from BYU in 2005; has been working as faculty in the Exercise Sciences Department at BYU since 2008. She recently completed her fellowship program with the American Academy of Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapists. Her husband, a physical therapist as well, and she have 2 children, Hanna (18, freshman at BYU) and David (16). They live in Provo.
