Academic Warning

Academic difficulties are devastating for everyone. Reasons students suffer vary from not possessing good study, note taking or test taking skills, to poor time management.

The stress and challenges of breaking away from parents, learning to make wise choices, exploring new ideas; and trying to find out how to fit into the broader world can also be problematic.

If careful attention is spent planning and thinking about what creates academic success, it is highly probable an excellent GPA can be established in the very first semester. It will be difficult to lower a GPA once it is high and maintained. The opposite is also true. Once your GPA plummets, it takes Herculean powers to raise it. Students who do poorly the first few semesters will find themselves on academic "warning", "probation", or "suspension". To understand what these academic designations mean click here.
