Life Sciences Student Services advises all students in the College of Life Sciences regarding their General Education requirements. If you were a freshman as of Fall 2004 or a transfer student as of Fall 2006, your are subject to the New University Core Program Requirements. If you were a freshman before Fall 2004 or transfer student before Fall 2006, you need the Previous GE Program Requirements. Information on General Education can be found in the current class schedule, on-line.
G.E. credits can be tricky, the resources below can help you better understand and plan for them. HOWEVER, before making any final plans please consult with your Academic Advisor so as to avoid potentially frustrating and costly mistakes.

Use MYMAP to research your General Education Credits.
1. Go to MYMAP in your Route Y directory
2. Click on the Plan MYMAP heading tab
3. This will bring up your G.E. track listing your requirements, and showing you:
a. Which requirements you have completed
b. Which requirements you have planned (are currently enrolled in or have planned)
c. Which requirments you have not yet completed or planned for
4. MYMAP will list different options for completing your General Requirements
5. Click on Select Courses to view the classes that you can choose from to fulfill one of the listed options that will fulfill your G.E. credit.
Are you on the Old G.E. and wondering if you should switch to the New G.E.?
Here is a way to see a report to show you what would happen if you did switch.
1. Go to Route Y
2. Then go into AIM
3. Click on Student Academic Record and then Progress Report (ABC Report):
4. On the Progress Report Screen, above the thick blue bar is a lighter blue, highlighted link called: New University Core (begins Fall 2004). Click on it and it will bring up a report showing which GE’s you’ve fulfilled under the new plan and which ones you haven’t.
