While not required for all Microbiology and Molecular Biology majors, internships offer valuable opportunities to explore future career paths and gain hands-on experience in the field.

Nancy provides general guidance on what qualifies as an internship, helps students find internship and research opportunities both on and off campus, and helps students enroll in internship credit for pre-secured on and off-campus internships.

David Eddington

Medical Laboratory Science; MMBIO 496R


The Medical Laboratory Science program requires students to complete MMBIO 496R, which is a semester long internship in a clinical facility.

Professor Eddington meets with students who have already been admitted to the MLS major. He provides general guidance on what qualifies as an internship, helps students find off-campus internship opportunities, and helps students enroll in internship credit for pre-secured off-campus internships.
