During a shift, volunteers answer phone calls that come through our Sexual Assault Hotline, providing individuals with emotional support and resources to assist them with their needs. Volunteers may also be called during their shift to respond to hospitals throughout the county to support and advocate for a victim receiving a medical forensic exam. Volunteers select their own, monthly, 24-hour shift. They are provided with a team cellphone and bag of supplies to assist them while on duty. Volunteers respond to the hospital in pairs.
