Located in the McDonald building, the BYU Research Development Central Office hosts campus wide research based training and events.
The RD Central Office manages a large internal grants program called the Interdisciplinary Origination Awards (IDR), and serves as a central coordinating office for limited submission competitions
Located in the Abraham O. Smoot Administration Building (ASB), the mission of the BYU Research Administration Office (RAO) is to support faculty, students, staff, and university administration in efforts to encourage and enable research, creative activities, and other expressions of academic scholarship.
The Associate Academic Vice President over Research & Graduate Studies has responsibility for facilitating research on campus including sponsored research programs, research regulatory compliance, research development, facilitating positive research impact beyond the university, and the allocation of funds that support the general research effort at BYU.
