Dr. Don Breakwell

Dr. Breakwell started his academic career as a student at BYU, where he received his Bachelor’s degree. He then moved to Indiana where he received a Ph.D. in Agronomy (soil microbiology) from Purdue.
After teaching at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah for close to nine years, Dr. Breakwell moved north to become a professor at BYU. He has been a key part of the College of Life Sciences for close to two decades, as a professor and advisor.
He is an active member of the American Society for Microbiology and has chaired several meetings of the American Society for Microbiology Conference for Undergraduate Educators.
Dr. Breakwell handles all changes of major appointments for Exercise Science, Nutritional and Food Science, MMBIO, and CELL.
