DUE 2/20/2026 - Intermountain Health, Continuous Improvement Internship | Utah Valley Hospital
Intermountain Health is offering a Continuous Improvement Internship for students interested in healthcare administration, operations, data analytics, process improvement, or medicine. Interns will learn and apply continuous improvement methodologies across clinical and non-clinical settings to help improve patient outcomes, safety, and operational efficiency. Past intern projects have contributed to measurable improvements such as reduced stroke response times, decreased specimen labeling errors, improved patient safety metrics, and increased hand hygiene compliance.
This internship is a strong fit for Life Sciences students seeking exposure to healthcare systems, leadership, and quality improvement. Interns will complete formal training, lead and present a project to hospital administration, collaborate with healthcare professionals, shadow multiple hospital departments, and build a professional network. Students must be able to work 12–15 hours per week, enroll for academic credit, and demonstrate strong interest in healthcare and continuous improvement.
