Born in Singapore and raised in Shanghai, China, Krystal served a mission in Leeds, England, and now lives in Provo with her husband and two-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, rock-climbing, singing, and exploring the outdoors with her family. She loves the way food connects people and spends much time experimenting in the kitchen - from cooking with flavors of her childhood to baking up the sweetest treats to share. 

While an undergraduate at BYU, Krystal had the pleasure of working as a student assistant to the Life Sciences Career Directors for 3.5 years. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Biodiversity and Conservation with a minor in Family Life, she gained further experience in education and administrative support. She was also blessed to spend several years as a stay-at home mother - one of the most meaningful chapters of her life. She is thrilled to return to her alma mater and begin this new chapter as a Career Director. 

Krystal will be guiding students as they determine their next steps after graduation. She believes that each student’s unique combination of strengths, experiences, skills, and ambitions creates paths to incredible opportunities, and her job is to help them explore those options. Every path chosen, in spite of opposition and unexpected outcomes, can be a blessing if the journey is embarked on with the Lord. 

Krystal advises students in Biology, Biodiversity & Conservation, Environmental Science, and Wildlife & Wildlands Conservation.
