Bioinformatics
Program Overview
Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary program that offers substantial training in the biological, physical, and mathematical sciences with an emphasis on computer programming coupled with genetics and molecular biology. Students are expected to acquire programming, database, and operating system skills with a foundation in mathematics and statistics. Additionally, students will become well-trained in molecular biology and genetics. They will have the opportunity to pursue individual interests in a variety of areas (chemistry, physics, bioengineering, computer science, molecular biology, genetics, etc.).
