The Crocker Innovation Fellowship Program
Want to learn how innovators and entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality? Apply to become a Crocker Innovation Fellow.
- A year long program from January-December with Winter and Fall courses
- Fellows receive a paid stipend, with positions set aside for Life Sciences majors
- Includes participation in a paid summer internship
- Experience forming a team to create a technology-based business in a mentored setting

The Opportunities for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Life Sciences course
Want to learn about the next generation of life science technologies that could change the world? Enroll in Opportunities for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Life Sciences for Winter 2015 and learn:
- About the basic scientific ideas behind emerging life sciences technologies
- About how life sciences technologies can solve global issues in health and disease, energy, pollution, water and food production
- Meet professionals whose companies are seeking to change the world with life sciences technologies.
The BIO-Innovation and -Entrepreneurship Program
Want to experience life in a life-sciences-based technology start-up company? The BIO-Innovation and -Entrepreneurship Program provides instruction and experience in building a company around a life sciences-based technology over two semesters.
- Semester I (Fall, 2 credits): Students work as a team to build and develop an external client biotech company. The client company is a real start-up in its early development and based on a cutting edge technology platform. Collectively, the class will act as the CEO and business development team.
- Semester II (Winter, 2 credits): Students, as small teams, will use lessons learned in Semester I to build a life sciences-based start-up around an idea of their choosing. Focus will be on identifying and validating possible start-up ideas.
