Brad Neiger named associate dean of College of Life Sciences

Dean Rodney Brown of the BYU College of Life Sciences has announced the appointment of Brad Neiger as associate dean of the college.

Dean Rodney Brown of the Brigham Young University College of Life Sciences has announced the appointment of Brad Neiger, chair of the Department of Health Science, as associate dean of the college.

Before coming to Brigham Young University in 1997, Neiger worked for 13 years in various public health settings, including as director of health promotion for the Utah Department of Health. Neiger is a past president of both the Health Education Association of Utah and the Utah Public Health Association.

In March 2007, he was appointed by Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. to serve on the Utah Health Advisory Council.

He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health science from BYU and a doctorate in health education from the University of Utah. His research interests include the evaluation of social marketing and social media interventions in public health settings.
