Biography
Dr Tucker received his PhD from Southern Illinois University and began his career as a professor at New Mexico State University. After teaching there for two years, he and his family moved to the South and he taught at Auburn University for five years. Dr. Tucker has been a professor at BYU for more than 30 years. He enjoys both teaching and research. He teaches courses in Obesity and Weight Management, Lifestyle and Chronic Disease Prevention, and Research Design. Over his career, Dr. Tucker has published over 100 articles in scholarly journals, several book chapters, and a book on living a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Tucker and his wife, Diane, have five children, four sons and a daughter, and a growing number of grandchildren.
