Chairman, CN Resource | Former President, Crandall Corporate Dietitians | Former Arizona State Senator & Representative
Rich Crandall is an accomplished entrepreneur, public servant, and innovator in the field of child nutrition oversight and compliance. He currently serves as Chairman of CN Resource, a national leader in school nutrition auditing and compliance services, which he founded in 2001 and has successfully grown over the past two decades.
In addition to his leadership at CN Resource, Rich spent 27 years as Chief Operating Officer and then as President of Crandall Corporate Dietitians (a DiningRD Company), a firm specializing in dietitian consulting services for senior living communities. Under his direction, the company expanded to serve thousands of facilities nationwide.
Rich also served the State of Arizona as both a State Senator and Representative, and the State of Wyoming, as the Commissioner of Education. In these elected and appointed positions, he was a champion for education, nutrition, and healthcare initiatives. His unique blend of business leadership and legislative experience positions him as a trusted voice at the intersection of policy, compliance, and innovation in child nutrition programs.
Academically, Rich earned his MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated Co-Valedictorian and received the Spirit of Notre Dame Award. He also holds a Master’s in Accounting from Brigham Young University and pursued doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University.
Through his career, Rich has combined entrepreneurship, public service, and educational leadership to advance nutrition standards and compliance systems nationwide, leaving a lasting impact on both the public and private sectors.
