Biography
Dr. Thomas S. Brinton is a board-certified urologist practicing in St. George, Utah, and affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital, Intermountain Health St. George Regional Hospital, and Intermountain Surgery Center – St. George. He received his medical degree from the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and completed his urology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. With over a decade of experience, he has expertise in a wide range of urological procedures, including kidney removal surgery and prostate cancer treatment. Dr. Brinton accepts several major insurance plans, including Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare, and is highly recommended by his patients.
Dr. Brinton met his wife, Andrea, over 20 years ago at Brigham Young University. Prior to their marriage, Andrea served a mission in Bilbao, Spain, and Thomas served in Sendai, Japan. They dated long distance while he attended medical school at Northwestern, marrying during his first year. Following his residency, they lived in Washington state before moving to St. George in late 2017 to be closer to family, where they have enjoyed the red hills and warm climate for the past eight years. The Brintons have four children: three boys and a girl, who are involved in activities ranging from sports and music to awaiting a mission call and competing nationally in the Civics Bee.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Brinton enjoys soccer, racquetball, and trail running. He has also pursued entrepreneurial ventures, including opening an indoor golf simulator in Mesquite, Nevada, which led to founding a locums tenens company. Andrea actively participates in their business endeavors, manages their rental property portfolio, and enjoys pickleball and developing her own projects. The family is actively involved in their faith community, values living near family and temples, and feels blessed by the opportunities and relationships they have cultivated along the way.
