Summit Planning Committee
Purpose
The Summit Planning Committee is responsible for organizing and executing the LSLC Summit. The event's main purpose is to nurture, grow, and engage our community of life sciences leaders, encouraging them to participate in initiatives that further the College’s mission. The Summit also serves as a platform to report on committee goals and progress, welcome new members to the Life Sciences Leadership Council, and present updates from the Executive Committee and the Dean’s Office regarding current initiatives.
During the Summit, a keynote speaker will address the importance of inspired leadership and service. The objective of these remarks is to inspire members to continue their efforts and dedicate their valuable time to the cause. Additionally, the Summit will include a student-centered event allowing students to interact directly with members, learn from their career paths and life stories, and gain valuable insights for their future careers.
With a five-year goal of making these summits highly effective and growing the contributor community to 250 members, this vision is set to drive significant progress.
Goals:
- Organize April event – See next slide; QUESTION—better pre or post General Conference?
- Consider a second, high-value event to reward/incentivize alumni to participate/contribute to key LS initiatives
