Alumni Engagement Committee
Purpose
The Alumni Engagement Committee aims to cultivate a robust alumni network that fosters the idea of "paying it forward" to benefit the current and future students of the College of Life Sciences. By leveraging the extensive conections within the LSLC, we the committee focuses in scalable outreach efforts, such as enhanced social media engagement, regional meet - and - greet events (tailgates), and continuing education presentations.
This approach towards alumni engagement will help in the College's goals of increasing one - on - one mentoring, student internships, and providing support to first - generation students.

- Stratify alumni based on their ability to assist with leadership goals to achieve early wins.
- Start small and build a sustainable alumni outreach infrastructure utilizing all BYU resources.
- Identify best-in-class alumni outreach efforts both across BYU and at other universities

Digital Mailings
- Develop and initiate communications with alumni, build a database, have automatic responses, and distribute an interest survey in the first alumni newsletter
Alumni Featured Stories
- Highlight stories of alumni that reflect the mission of the college to serve, lift, and lead in their respective fields and their communities. Gather inspiring stories through the alumni newsletter, interest survey, and a LinkedIn promotional ad for nominations
